If you heard a commotion downtown Saturday afternoon, it was probably the Jack Poole Plaza protesters.
Vancouver police said they had to close several roads in the area near Coal Harbor due to congestion.
#VanTraffic VPD is monitoring several protests taking place today. There will be temporary road closures throughout the downtown area. Please allow additional travel time. Thank you for your patience.

Protesters took over the square on March 19, with convoy supporters on one side and counter-protesters on the other.
Fairly dispersed clownvoy show after being publicized for weeks. Technically, this represents two different protests.
Our counter-protesters are being harassed a bit by those who seek confrontation. More people at the center of #JackPoolePlaza in #Vancouver please! pic.twitter.com/DaPlIxVc0T

If you’re in downtown Vancouver, hear the call of the bikes and the resistance of the ram ranch https://t.co/1fpT1KiqZr

Mask mandates have already been lifted in the province recently, and these protests may continue until all laws related to COVID-19 are dropped.
Among the protesters, Canadian conspiracy theorist Chris Sky was spotted there with a camera crew by counter-protesters.
Here we go again, Chris Sky is doing everything possible to face us. Look how far we are from his big event scene, yet he shows up with his publicist to confront us. #Vancouver pic.twitter.com/tHmAJNPT3G

Recently, BC Premier John Horgan told convoy protesters to “shake your heads” earlier this month.
The group Community Over Convoys, which organizes to protest supporters of the ‘Freedom Convoy’ in Vancouver, tweeted that they had been ‘kicked’ out of space by VPD after learning they needed a allowed.
We are chased by @VancouverPD under a false claim that we need a permit while the clownvoy does not. #Vancouver #British Columbia

They also tweeted about several arguments between the two groups, convoy supporters allegedly clashing and following them even after the VPD told them to leave.
Daily Hive Vancouver has contacted the Vancouver Police Department and Community Over Convoys for comment and will update this story.
