The new Spar store in Lincolnshire opened this week. The 2,584 square foot retail unit opened to customers on April 28 and will launch a contest over the weekend, giving customers a chance to win a TV.

The store, located in Spalding, offers a hot food counter serving meals from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., as well as fresh take-out food, including sandwiches and baguettes freshly made on site. The store is located on the corner of Winsover Road and Carrington Road.

Takeout includes self-serve F’Real milkshakes and smoothies, as well as Tango Ice Blast frozen drinks and Philpotts coffee and candies. Hundreds of other food options will also be available.

On Saturday, April 30, the store will celebrate its launch with a goodie bag giveaway. Golden tickets will also be given out at random during the opening weekend and a raffle will give shoppers the chance to win a TV.

Store Manager Michelle Bland said: “We are really excited to start trading in Spalding and welcome all members of the local community to experience our new store. It’s been specifically designed to ensure the best possible service, and we’re sure our shoppers will love the wide variety of takeaway options and all the fresh and chilled produce available.”

An in-house cash machine will be available during trading hours. The site was also equipped with a defibrillator.

The store has helped create 20 jobs for the local community. These include full-time and part-time roles.

The store will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, it will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
