As the Telangana state assembly budget session begins on Monday, the focus is on the state’s former health minister and now Bharatiya Janata party MP from the assembly constituency of Telangana. Huzurabad, Eatala Rajender.
During the last budgetary session, Rajender was on the benches of the Treasury as Minister of Health and he was effectively attacking the opposition party.
Having been in the TRS for over 18 years, he is very familiar with the whereabouts of the TRS, the strategies of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his strengths and weaknesses.
This is why the BJP leadership reportedly decided to pit Eatala on behalf of the party against the TRS.
Understandably, KCR and his team wouldn’t appreciate Eatala’s presence in the Chamber and they will certainly try to bully him from the early stages.
The issue was discussed at the BJP legislative party meeting held on Friday in Hyderabad.
BJP State Chairman Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who chaired the meeting, warned that the TRS, which has been deeply frustrated following recent political developments in the state, will do everything possible to provoke members of the BJP with its aggressive posture/
“But we have to show restraint and not fall into the trap of the ruling party. Let us adopt a strategic position, focusing on highlighting the people’s problems and exposing the failures of the TRS government over the past seven years, instead of getting into a fight with the ruling party,” he said. -he declares.
He also warned that the TRS, taking advantage of its strength in the House, might try to bulldoze discussions on crucial issues without giving the opposition enough time, but BJP members should use every opportunity to raise their voices on the issues of the people, in order to send a positive message to the people that the BJP was fighting for its cause.
Rajender said at the legislative party meeting that the TRS might try to corner the BJP by repeatedly alleging that the Center was discriminating against Telangana in various sectors and not releasing funds due to the State.
Reacting to Eatala’s observation, Sanjay Kumar said he was getting full details on the amount of money the Center had disbursed to Telangana under various programs and for various projects since 2014.
He also suggested that BJP MPs should also counter the TRS arguments by pointing out how the state government had diverted central funds for other purposes.
